He is survived by his wife, Irene (Blaszczak) Yancey, whom he married June 2, 1946; his aunt Frances (Greenslade) Keener of Oceanside; California, a half-sister, Maxine Brown of Johnstone, Rhode Island; two daughters, Alice Gess of Holyoke, Massachusetts and Marian Zorger of Tempe, Arizona; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Cremation was under the direction of Palm Crematory in Las Vegas with Burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.
