THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
OF
MARIA ELIZABETH ZORGER
In the name of God, amen. I Maria Elizabeth Zorger of Conewago Township in the County of York, State of Pennsylvania, widow, being blind and far advanced in years of age, But of sound mind, memory and understanding blessed be god for the same but considering the uncertainty of this Transiting Life do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following to wit. Principally and first of all I command my Immortal soul into the hands of God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be buried in a descent and Christian like manner at the direction of my Executors herein after named and as to such worldly Estate where with it hath pleased god to help me in this Life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit.
It is my will and I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first paid and satisfied.

It is my will and I give, devise and bequeath unto my Daughter Lidia intermarried with Henry Brenneman to her or her heirs or assigns all my money and all what is back yet of my lawful Dower and all the interest what is coming to me at the time of my death for the services she has rendered to me and for nursing and keeping me my life time to have and to hold the same forever.

It is my will and I do order, devise and bequeath unto my aforesaid Lidia my Bed and Bedstate Blanket and all there to belonging and my Chest to have and to hold the same forever.
And lastly I nominate, Constitute and appoint my trusty friends Henry Breneman, my son-in-law and Jacob Baker both of Conewago Township in the County of York to be the Executors of this my last will and Testament hereby Revoking all other wills, Legacies and bequeaths by me here to fore made and declaring this and no other to be my Last will and testament.
In witness whereof I Maria Elizabeth Zorger, widow, have her unto set my hand and seal the second day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty seven.

Before me George Small, Deputy Register, for the probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and for said County in the State of Pennsylvania came Peter Westheffer one of the subscribing witnesses to the above and foregoing will and on his solemn affirmation doth say that he was personally present and saw and heard Maria Elizabeth Zorger the Testatrix made her mark unto and seal, publish, pronounce and declare the said instrument of writing as and for her last will and testament that at the time of the doing thereof the said Testatrix was of a sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of his knowledge, observation and belief that he also saw John Quickel Esq. the other subscribing witness sign his name thereunto as a witness at the same time and that they both subscribed the same as witnesses in the presence and at the request of the said Testatrix. Peter Westheffer affirmed and subscribed before me at York the 9th day of August AD 1830. George Small Deputy Registrar.
Memorandum: That Letters Testamentary on this will were granted to Henry Brenneman and Jacob Baker the Executors this 9th day of August AD 1830 they having first been duly qualified to will and truly administer the goods and chattels rights and credits of Maria Elizabeth Zorger deceased that he will a true Inventory and consionable appraisement thereof make and exhibit the same in the Registers office for York County in one month to make and render a true and just account calculation and reckoning in one year and to diligently and faithfully regard and will on a timely comply with the provisions of an act relating to Collateral inheritances.
A true copy taken from and compared with the original remaining on file.
